Welcome!

Welcome to TC2 Teacher Talk, a blog designed to support new teacher graduates of TC2 institutions. The Twin Cities Teacher Collaborative (TC2) is a collaborative partnership between Augsburg College, Bethel University, Concordia University, Hamline University, St. Catherine University, and the University of St. Thomas. TC2 is part of a significant and progressive effort initiated in 2009 by the Bush Foundation to establish a new paradigm for teaching and learning – to improve teacher effectiveness as a means to close the achievement gap.

On this blog you will find information and guidance on a range of issues relevant to new teachers. Because it can be accessed anywhere, the hope is that this blog can help new teachers feel additional support linking back to your preparation programs no matter where you end up teaching.  Though there are some elements planned for this blog, we are hopeful that you, the readers, share with us your concerns, questions, resources, and professional development needs so we can plan future posts and links.

We are excited about this endeavor, and mostly excited for you and your new career as teachers!

Questions for you:

What are you most excited for when thinking about your first year of teaching?
What are you most nervous about?
